Thanks to everyone who attended the NGV Artbeat private viewing of the 2003 Clemenger Contemporary Art Award event at NGV Australia at Federation Square on Monday evening 20 October.

Over 250 NGV Artbeat members and guests enjoyed this unique exhibition of contemporary Australian art, made possible through the generosity of Joan and Peter Clemenger.

We were honoured to have the Chairman of NGV Members and exhibition benefactor, Mr. Peter Clemenger as guest speaker; delivering a highly appreciated personal address, followed by an informative introduction to the exhibition by NGV Curator of Contemporary Art, Jason Smith.

The next NGV Artbeat event is the much anticipated members opening of NGV St Kilda Road on Monday 8 December 2003. This promises to be a spectacular moment in Australian art as the newly redesigned Mario Bellini gallery space is experienced for the first time by NGV members - an event not to be missed!
