The photos on these pages are of the inaugural launch of NGV Artbeat - the exciting new division of NGV Members - Thursday evening 10th April 2003.

It was a fantastic evening that showcased the amazing diversity of Melbourne's visual arts scene and the magnificence of the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia at Federation Square. For many of you it was your first taste of the new NGV, and we trust that it has inspired you to return again soon to enjoy all that the NGV has to offer.

A special thank you to Melissa Jackson for giving us all a very personal introduction to her work, and to John Course and 'Architecture in Helsinki' for providing some excellent vibes throughout the evening.
